[OpenRelief Developer] [OpenCV] Dan Bell checking out OpenCV on Ångström Distribution

Dear all

I just spoke with Dan. He is going to sync with Karl and then help check out whether OpenCV and our existing awesome code like the smoke detection works properly on the Ångström Distribution. We need to explore this because running the Ångström Distribution on the Beagleboard-xM would give us a low-cost computer that is already known and somewhat supported by the DIY Drone community. It would therefore be very useful in getting their support and engagement. We would particularly benefit from this when it comes to having the Beagleboard run OpenCV to recognize something (let's say smoke) and tell the Ardupilot autopilot to change course and get a closer look. Some research out there has already covered similar ground, and if we stick to their toolset, hopefully we can cut and paste their Open Source code or their tuning methods.
