Hi all

Building on Karl's sensible proposal that we group expertise and interest into teams, and after processing the recent windfall of new volunteers, we have a fairly comprehensive range of skills to draw on. Below please find the teams according to the expressed interests and skills.

I am sure many people on this list are not included because of omission or because we are not sure what you want to do yet. In those cases, please associate yourself with a team (or teams), and get in contact with the team leads to ensure you are fully in the loop via this list. Each team lead can then coordinate the modular development of their section of the design, and after release people around the world can (a) use various modules on other platforms or (b) combine the modules to have an end-to-end OpenRelief designed platform.

Regarding context, we are working together to complete the drone design and first sensor(s) for our first "production design" release. This release milestone is targeted for the end of December, and should be regarded as a starting point rather than an end goal.

This is where we make available designs for a (circa) 2 meter robot plane that can help see and map disaster zones, and some canary sensors that can communicate back ground conditions to the plane or to other relief units. From there we expand our eco-system of solutions.

Let's make it sensible, let's make it simple, and let's keep explicitly focused on producing a solution for the real world as soon as possible.
